We maintain a small amount of shared infrastructure to support the community, including:

• Online resources such as our website, newsletter and events calendar

• Communication channels like chat groups and mailing lists

• Regular online meetings to welcome new members,  share project updates and learn from one another

• Occasional in-person social gatherings in different regions

This structure helps us stay connected and coordinated, while keeping things flexible and accessible.

We don’t have fixed leadership roles or rigid hierarchies. Instead, members are encouraged to take initiative and help shape the community.

Many of the activities that keep things running are supported by small, informal working groups made up of trusted contributors.

Much of what we do happens through different initiatives.

Each initiative:

• Has its own coordinators

• Defines its own goals and ways of working

• Operates with autonomy

This allows different ideas and approaches to emerge, while still being part of the wider community.

There are many ways to become part of the community. You might join:

• Directly through our shared spaces and events

• Through a specific project that interests you
